BENCH, MARK
Meet our bench, Mark – Building a legacy
Our bench, Mark, spent many years helping teachers demonstrate joinery and woodwork to pupils at Amble Middle School. Mark was a trusted companion and a reliable worker. His only vice was at one end. Mark was forced into early retirement but his boss, headteacher Alan Hellawell, was aware of his potential for many more years of service and put him to work in his garage. Alan and Mark had twenty-four happy years tinkering away, helping each other learn, fix and bodge. Now Mark can help members and trainees of ETL to discover their potential, and hopefully get the same enjoyment from using it as Alan and his students. It’s what tool libraries do – we give objects a new lease of life. And by donating, you can help Mark build many more memories.
I’M READY TO ADOPT! WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
With our Golden Adoptions we have created the chance to give even bigger donations. If you can afford it, and would like to help, we would be extremely grateful.
