Repair cafés are monthly pop-up events where you can get help to fix your broken things! They are free and for everyone, tool library members and non-members. They are run by a fantastic group of volunteers who are hosting these events in spaces across the capital. We are proud and continuously excited to support this Tooligan initiative!
How does it work?
One of your favorite items is broken and you’re not sure how to fix it? Bring it along to our volunteer experts and get all the practical help, advice and guidance you need, to repair it, while enjoying a cuppa ☕
Nothing to fix? Come to hang out and meet like-minded people from your community. You might learn a few tips while watching repairing in action ツ
Repair cafés have been more and more successful so we highly recommend you to book your slot if you have something you want to fix. Read more below.
Areas of expertise?

If you’ve got something that you want to fix, you can email the team at repaircafeedinburgh@gmail.com to confirm suitability and to reserve your place. Or just turn up on the day and we’ll take a look.

The Repair Café Movement in Scotland and beyond
Repair cafés are brought to communities by volunteers in many other countries. ETL is very excited to come together with Repair Café Edinburgh and contribute to this awesome movement. Read more on www.repaircafe.org.
Many repair cafés are gonna pop around Scotland in the coming months/years thanks to the Share & Repair Network. Read more on our blog about it: A Scottish Network for Share and Repair: What does it all mean?
Our Funding
We have received a small donation from our first sponsor Version 1 for tools, and equipment. As well as continuous support from the Edinburgh Tool Library.
We are also active members of the Sharing & Repair Network offering training content, and strategy support.
Any donations is more than welcome!
