The Edinburgh Tool Library would love to give your tools a new home, allowing them to continue to give great service, this time to our members. There are a few restrictions, however, on what tools we accept. Please read our guidelines carefully. Thank you!
Our library
We have tools for gardening, decorating, and general DIY as well as ladders, bike tools and sewing machines. Members can browse our inventory database online and can book tools for pick up the same week.

Our workshops
Our Community Workshop in Leith is a dedicated woodworking space, complete with a wide range of large-format tools. We have a table saw, band saw, chop saw, planer thicknesser, and a whole host of other power and hand tools at each site. Members can book a bench to work on their own projects with volunteers on hand to guide you through.
