A Cosy Community Corner
The tools that Jullie-Anne borrowed were used to make this amazing cosy corner in one of the many community gardens. The community up-cycled pallets to create shelves and furniture. The kids loved getting involved too!

Sharing Tools and Skills With The Community Wellbeing Collective
This blank wall became a beautiful library space.
In 2025, we ran a ‘how to hang a shelf’ workshop in this space. Now they are borrowing tools to spruce up their space.
Back when this space opened, the team from the Colinton Tool Library gave a hand getting this beautiful community ready to open.

DIY Draught Excluders at Wester Hailes Library

These simple items gave new life to fabric donated by Re:mode Collective .
While we sewed, Changeworks shared some energy saving info and advice.

DIY Classes: How to Hang A Shelf
People learned how to use a power drill to hang a shelf on different types of walls. We ran this popular from The Community Wellbeing Space and Whale Arts.

Tool Taster Sessions
The SCORE Scotland Women’s Group had a great time trying out all of our power tools. They were amazed how after just a couple of hours they were no longer intimidated by even the biggest of saws.
